📖 1. STEP-style random 20-question test

🔑 Key Concepts & Definitions

• STEP-style test: A test format that matches the STEP exam’s typical difficulty and question style.

📝 Essential Points

• The test must be random and contain exactly 20 questions.
• Questions must be presented one at a time, not all at once.
• Answers should be withheld until the learner responds, then corrected with a brief error explanation.

💡 Memory Hook

20 questions, one-by-one: no answers until you answer.

⚠️ Common Pitfalls & Confusions

1. Students may expect answers immediately, but the format requires waiting until after each response.
2. Students may miscount the test length if they don’t enforce exactly 20 questions.
3. Students may get confused if questions are shown all at once instead of one-by-one.

✅ Exam Checklist

1. Generate a random set of exactly 20 STEP-level questions.
2. Display questions sequentially, one question per prompt.
3. Do not reveal the correct answer until the learner submits their response.
4. After each correct/incorrect response, provide a brief correction and a short explanation of any mistake.
