1. Scientific Skills and Exam Preparation

★ Must-know

  • The assessed science skills include biology variables, microscopes, magnification, investigation design and analysis, and graphs; chemistry apparatus, measurements, accuracy, reliability, formulae, balancing equations and state symbols; and physics units, formulae, prefixes, rounding and graphs.

Further detail

  • The two-day revision plan is to learn and understand on day one, then self-test, practise exam-style questions, revisit weak topics, complete a mixed quiz and get enough sleep on day two.

2. Length Conversions and Magnification

  • Converting from centimetres to millimetres multiplies the value by 10, and converting from millimetres to micrometres multiplies it by 1,000.

  • One centimetre equals 10 millimetres and 10,000 micrometres, while one millimetre equals 1,000 micrometres.
